GOURMET DAY SAILINGTOUR DESCRIPTION
We depart from Split waterfront (Riva) at 10h and cruise to islands Solta, Brac or Ciovo depending on the weather conditions, usually anchor in some nice bay where you have time for leisure and snorkeling, we have masks and snorkels on the boat. Our chef prepares light Dalmatian lunch for each tour separately with fresh ingredients, indigenous Croatian eco-wines will be served on the boat (if you have any allergies or diet restrictions please let us know). On the way back we usually sail to Split as we have western wind Maestral almost every day in the summer, we will be back in Split around 17h. However, a series of events in recent years shine a new light on the true origins of Zinfandel. Team of enthusiasts led by Croatian born Californian winemaker Mike Grgich traced back the origins of Zinfandel to hillside of Split, specifically the town of Kastela. Original name for Zinfandel was and still is Crljenak Kastelanski, and it is experiencing a rebirth in Kastela and the surrounding area. Small family plots are becoming serious vineyards, improvised wineries are getting upgraded with technology and serious Zinfandel wine is starting to be produced after hundreds of year’s absence. After one hour cruise across Kastela bay we arive to Trogir. This ancient town listed on the UNESCO world cultural heritage list, established by the old Greeks 400 years b.c. is a living museum. Here we are off for one and half hour for sightseeing of the old town . After the sightseeing, we are back on board, for 45 minute cruise to our next destination, Blue Lagoon Krknjasi of the Drvenik Veli island. While cruising to Blue lagoon, we shall pass across an archipelago of 12 small islands and have a chance to meet familly of dolphins or sea turtlle since this is their natural habitat and they are being seen quite often in this waters.   The blue lagoon Krknjasi is a true perl in the Adriatic neckless. With it’s shallow, christal clear water over sandy sea bed it is a perfect location for snorkeling, fishing, underwater photography or any other water activity. A slow walk inside the island shall give you breath taking panorama wiews to the islands of middle adriatics. Also, you can explore nearby willages and meet ancient dalmatian village architecture as well as it’s beautiful nature. In case you prefere to stay within our preserve, you can enjoy the sea or maybe play a round of table tennis with your friends. This 2500 m2 forested area is here for your use only. It has all neccesary facilities to make your stay pleasant and comfortable but in the same time, it is enviroinmental friendly, CO2 free and 100% powered by renewable sources. At 12:30 lunch shall be served, fish or chicken freshly grilled over wood fire, with pinch of rosemary picked from our own garden, bread and salad, accompanied by high quality wine from Vis island, a homeland of wine. White “Rukatac” wine or legendary red “Plavac Mali”, it is up to you to choose. Arround 2:30 pm, MY “Nera” shall take you to half our cruise to Maslinica willage on Solta island.
