During December until the middle of January there is a manifestation in town called Advent in Split. During that manifestation on main promenade Riva and on the squares of old town you will find very interesting program. Entertainment takes place in December and first week og January, when locals and tourists enjoy spending time on popular cottages on Riva.

 

 

 

Christmas stands are full of Christmassy goods and a spectrum of traditional food and drinks. The main Christmas fair stage is also constantly a busy venue for all kinds of special holiday events.

 

 

 

 Various organized concerts and DJs with their performance and music enrich the evening and night hours. Every day there is a performance of different artists and the party lasts long into the night. On the other squares and streets as part of the "Feel the Christmas in Split " perform various artists and church choirs organize the traditional Christmas concerts in all the churches.

 

 
The entire city lives in a holiday atmosphere and squares become the stage for Advent. On the Split square Pjaca is a manifestation “Advent on Pjaca” with a rich presentation of traditional Croatian cuisine. Each week is a presentation of another region, Istria, Zagorje, Slavonia, Lika and Dalmatia.  They organize a music program in front of Old City Hall, which complements the cultural program with a exhibition "Piazza throughout history," and fashion show "What did people wear on Pjaca".
In advent time a lot of local restaurants have a special menu at reduced prices in their offer, so you can always try codfish on different ways, also Dalmatian stew with domestic noodles made of potatoes or other Dalmatian specialties.
